Carp Addict Socials

We know things come up — work, family, broken vans, or a last-minute change of plans. Because our socials involve exclusive lake bookings and limited places, we do need a clear cancellation policy so everything stays fair for everyone.


1. Cancelling Your Place

If you need to cancel your spot on a Carp Addict Social, please let us know as early as possible.

1. More than 4 weeks before the social – You’ll receive a full refund, minus any non-refundable booking or payment processing fees. Plenty of time for us to find a replacement angler.

2. 2–4 weeks before the social – A 50% refund will be issued.

3. Less than 2 weeks before the social – Unfortunately, no refund can be offered at this stage, as costs will already have been committed — unless your place is immediately filled by a replacement angler.


2. Replacing Your Spot

If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to transfer your place to another angler, subject to approval. Just let us know in advance so we know who’s turning up with the rods.

If a suitable replacement fills your place, we’ll refund you accordingly.


3. If We Have to Cancel

In the unlikely event that Carp Addict Socials needs to cancel a social due to circumstances beyond our control (such as unsafe weather, lake closures, or unforeseen issues):

1. You’ll be offered a full refund, or

2. The option to transfer your booking to a future social

We won’t leave you hanging.


4. Weather (The British Standard)

This is carp fishing in the UK — rain, wind, and the odd sideways shower are all part of it.

Socials won’t be cancelled for normal weather conditions. Events will only be cancelled if conditions are deemed unsafe.


5. No-Shows

If you don’t attend a booked social and haven’t let us know beforehand, no refund will be issued.
At the very least, drop us a message — common courtesy goes a long way.
