Term’s & Conditions

By booking or attending a Carp Addict Social, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing scary here — it’s just to keep things clear, fair, and running smoothly for everyone.

1. About Carp Addict Socials

Carp Addict Socials organises exclusive carp fishing socials for anglers who want good fishing, good company, and a relaxed atmosphere.

By booking a place, you agree to follow these terms and fish in the right spirit.

2. Bookings & Payment

 

    • All bookings must be made in advance through our website or an approved booking method.

    • A minimum of a 50% deposit is required to secure your place on a Carp Addict Social.

    • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the event date.

    • If the balance is not paid by this point, we reserve the right to release the place and retain the deposit.

    • Your booking is only fully confirmed once the required payments have been received.

Places are limited, so once you’re in — you’re in (as long as payments are kept up)

3. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations are covered by our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

In short:

 

    • More than 4 weeks’ notice: full refund (minus fees)

    • 2–4 weeks’ notice: 50% refund

    • Less than 2 weeks: no refund, unless your place is filled

4. Transfers

If you can’t attend, you may transfer your place to another angler with prior approval. Let us know in advance so we know who’s actually turning up with the rods.

5. Fishing & Behaviour

Carp Addict Socials is built on respect.

We ask that all anglers:

 

    • Respect the lake rules and fishery guidelines

    • Handle fish safely and responsibly

    • Respect other anglers, staff, and the venue

    • Keep the social friendly — banter welcome, bad attitudes not

Anyone behaving in a way that spoils the experience for others may be asked to leave without refund. Thankfully, this rarely ever happens.

6. Alcohol & Substances

Socials are about enjoying the time, not getting carried away.

 

    • Alcohol is allowed where permitted by the venue, but must be consumed responsibly.

    • Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

If someone’s behaviour becomes unsafe or disruptive, we’ll deal with it.

7. Health & Safety

Carp fishing is an outdoor activity, and conditions can vary.

By attending, you accept responsibility for:

 

    • Your own equipment and personal safety

    • Fishing in a sensible and safe manner

Carp Addict Socials cannot be held responsible for accidents, injuries, loss, or damage to personal property unless caused by our negligence.

8. Weather

This is fishing in the UK — weather happens.

Socials will go ahead in normal weather conditions. Events will only be cancelled if conditions are unsafe, in which case you’ll be offered a refund or transfer.

9. Photography & Media

We may take photos or videos during socials for promotional use (website, social media, etc.).

If you’d rather not be included, just let us know — no awkwardness.

10. Changes to Events

We reserve the right to:

 

    • Make reasonable changes to event details

    • Substitute venues if absolutely necessary

    • Cancel events due to circumstances beyond our control

If changes are made, we’ll always communicate clearly.

11. Liability

Carp Addict Socials accepts no liability for loss, injury, or damage unless required by law.

Participation is at your own risk — common sense applies.

12. Data Protection

Your personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. We won’t misuse it, sell it, or do anything sneaky.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
